I Smell Apples Baking: The Apple Users Guide

I can't speak for anyone else but I love the smell of my kitchen and home when the combination of apples mixed with baking spices like cinnamon and nutmeg are wafting through the air.  From apple pies, homemade cider, breads, tarts, baked apples, homemade applesauce and other confections and pastries there just isn't much you can't do with this luscious fruit.  Why today, Mr. V and I had some sliced Gala apples sprinkled with cinnamon sugar for a snack.  YUM!

Selecting the just right apple for your apple for baking or other needs you want too choose one that is crisp and firm, then wash , peel and core them.  It's also important to treat the apples in order to keep them from turning a brown ugly color.  You can print this Apple Guide out at the end of the post.  Just click on printer friendly.
